Jacksonport Pier - #0310

A historic duplication.....

In the 1920's, after the forest was logged off, many of the locals turned to fishing and/or farming. Due to the shallow Lake Michigan waters in the area, piers had to be built that extended far out into the lake. Push carts on rails were used to transport the fish to shore.

Original watercolor by PaPa GizĀ  - 12" x 16" - #0310 - SOLD - prints still available.
