Eastern Meadowlark and Plow - #0401

The meadowlark was once more common in fields and on fences. Numbers dwindled with the change of habitat and use of pesticides. The single bottom plow was pulled by ox or horse and was the farmer's means of turning over the sod and making wilderness into productive farmland.
