Mojo Rosa's - #1422

Egg Harbor Past and Present Through The Eyes Of A Big Brown Dog....

Mojo Rosa's was the Concord Hotel.

The Concord Hotel was built by Levi Baraboo about 1890, destroyed by fire in 1897, and rebuilt by Levi. The locals played basketball in the dance hall until it again had a fire in 1934. After being sold it became the LaPlant House. Patty Gray known for his Irish Setter dog and race horse 'Goldie May' operated the business for a while. Murphy Moore named it The White House and it was operated by Sylvester Thiel and later Ken Herbst who also had a barber shop attached to the tavern. Bob Delain and Wendell Vandertie also barbered there. Bob and Jean Sawyer named it the Midtown Tap. Tony and Sharon Demarinis named it the Old Stage Inn. Rick and Pam Grant had it for 15 years as Grant's Old Stage Inn. It is now Mojo Rosa's.
